This event worked on two levels: one as an exhibition and second as a workshop. In a 2000 sq ft area, seven artists A M Murali, Archana Sonti , LNV Srinivas, Rajeswara Rao, Sajid Bin Amar, Varunika Saraf & Vera De Jong were selected to make their studios and interact with the public. This was an occasion where artists lived, worked and exhibited in a gallery – cum – studio setup and on display were their early to experimental works, letters and works exchanged by artist friends, objects that inspired them, their books, musical and all. During this month and a half residency – cum-show the artists, along with their audience watched feature films based on the life of artist and animation films based on art. This event also invited performers of other groups who visited us to further energize the mappings. The gallery regularly conducted slide shows for every one’s benefit. This was one wonderful experience which brought our audience and artist on an integrative level. A Walk of Art : An opportunity to explore personal spaces and studio of artists. And revel in that exhilarating moment at which inspiration metamorphoses into creation.
